The workshop will formally start at 9:10am on Monday 15th August in the Hume-Rothery lecture theatre at the Materials Department. For those who did not register on the Sunday afternoon, registration will be open from 8:45am.
Accommodation for the five nights at St Edmund Hall (or Teddy Hall as it is known in Oxford) from Sunday to Friday is included in the participation fee. Rooms are available from 2pm on Sunday 14th August. However, the best time to arrive is 4pm-6pm (as there will be guides to show you to your rooms). On arrival obtain your room key from the Porters' Lodge. The lodge is staffed around the clock, however, if you plan to arrive after 10pm please email firstname.lastname@example.org so the porters know to expect you. If you are delayed on route the telephone number of the porters' lodge is +44 (0)1865 279000
Registration will be open from 6pm to 7pm on Sunday at the rear quad of the college (on your map head to the Wolfson Hall and you will see us). It will also be possible to register from 8:45-9:10 on Monday in the Materials Department.
There is wireless internet at St Edmund Hall.
If people would like to meet up to go out for dinner, we suggest 7:30 in the rear quad. There will be parties going out to various locations.
For those staying at St Edmund Hall we suggest meeting outside the wolfson Hall to walk to the Materials Department. There will be at least one person who knows the way! (it's a 15min fairly picturesque walk).
