Q I have a CIF file of my structure. How can I generate input files for CASTEP?

A. There is third-party program called "cif2cell" which can read a cif file and generate a reasonably complete CASTEP .cell file. Cif2cell is included in the academic source bundle, or may be downloaded from the author's website.
