CASTEP User Workshop 2019

We are delighted to announce the CASTEP User Workshop, which will take place 18th - 19th March 2019, at the University of Birmingham (UK) in their newly opened Edgbaston Park Hotel. This is designed to be a CASTEP community meeting, providing an opportunity for us all to meet other CASTEP users and developers, present research and discuss issues, learn about new and upcoming CASTEP capabilities and discuss in an informal environment. There will be a lively informal atmosphere with plenty of opportunities for discussion and with this in mind all participants are encouraged to submit a poster title and abstract to promote our conversations. There will also be a prize for the best poster by a PhD/post-doctoral researcher.

The conference fee (100 pounds) includes lunch and refreshments on both days, overnight accommodation and a workshop dinner on the evening of 18th March. This is possible thanks to generous sponsorship from CCP9, CCP-NC and UKCP.

Confirmed Speakers:

  • Plenary by Bjoern Winkler (Goethe University, Frankfurt, Germany)
  • Sharon Ashbrook (St Andrews University, Scotland)
  • Joerg Meyer (Leiden University, Netherlands)
